This North Carolina Children, Youth, and Families at Risk (CYFAR) project uses community gardening to: empower communities to produce food for families, deliver hands-on nutrition education, create opportunities for youth to develop agri-related business skills, build leadership among community members, and provide engaging activities for family members of all ages to work together for a common purpose.

Veggie...errr...Herb of the Month for July!

If you're not currently adding herbs to make your meals more nutritious and delicious, you're missing out on some super yummy flavors!

Herbs are not only used in cooking, but they can also be baked into desserts, chopped up and tossed in a salad or added to a glass of ice water to create a refreshing summer tea.

 Read below for information on growing, harvesting and eating herbs. And even if you are already using herbs, I guarantee you'll learning something new!
