This North Carolina Children, Youth, and Families at Risk (CYFAR) project uses community gardening to: empower communities to produce food for families, deliver hands-on nutrition education, create opportunities for youth to develop agri-related business skills, build leadership among community members, and provide engaging activities for family members of all ages to work together for a common purpose.

NC A&T Small Farms Week - Recognition for Community Gardens

Wagram Community Gardeners Stephania and Jada Smith and Community Garden Coordinator Melissa Tomas (Scotland County Cooperative Extension) received recognition today at The Cooperative Extension at NC A&T State University Small Farms Week.









Stephania was featured in A&Ts School of Agriculture and Environmental Science's 2011 Solutions publication.
